When the Miami Children’s Museum was first being built RAD was retained to design the 1,000 gallon educational saltwater aquarium to feature native Florida Reef Life and a Mangrove Tidal Zone that are unique to South Florida’s ecosystem. From local reef fish, to lobsters, to mangroves, this aquarium is an example of what can be found snorkeling in the local Miami area.

The owners were renovating this classic Miami Beach home built in the 1940’s and decided to integrate a large reef aquarium within a long wall nook.  They liked clean lines and finished off the millwork flush with the wall to make the aquarium a built-in look.  The owners were divers too, and RAD helped them collect local Atlantic tropical fish and gorgonians to enhance living marine art on the wall as an Educational Window to the Sea.

RAD renovated the clients original reef aquarium to upgrade all aspects of this beautiful aquarium located on the Venetian Causeway. The clients beautiful private office resides on one side while a seating area and pool table rests on the other.

A gift from one client to her husband of decades, this reef aquarium was fast tracked from concept to completion within a month to ensure that the gift was a surprise upon return from a lengthy business trip. The aquarium design was incorporated into existing casework flawlessly and complements the space perfectly.

The client was building a new home and commissioned RAD to create a built in reef aquarium within the second floor sitting room across from their kitchen. The liked the idea of a library ladder that afforded easy access into the aquarium on the rolling ladder. RAD built the large glass aquarium onsite that included the highest quality filtration systems and water changing tanks located remotely in the garage below.

This client came to us wanting a custom aquarium that matched the exquisite design of his “at home office”. After coordinating with our design & fabrication team, we were able to expertly craft one of the most beautiful semi-curved glass aquariums we have ever seen.

This living coral reef aquarium fits in perfectly with the casual tropical style of this custom built home in West Palm Beach. The aquarium serves as a dynamic room divider between the living and dining rooms, and is visible from most areas of the main floor, increasing its visual impact.
